Nokia 5310 Xpress Music Video Transcript

>> Hi I'm Kent German, senior editor here in CNET.com. Today we take a first look at the Nokia 5310 Express Music. This is a new phone for T-mobile service. This one has been around a long time, probably about 10 months or so. So really excited to see it finally landed the US carrier. It is available in a few colors. This is a purple and black version team, have also has orange and black, or red and black and then you can get it unlock and blue and black and the red and black version. Nokia never really got on the thin phone trade. This phone is pretty slim now, has a nice design. Let's just use simple candy bar, nothing to fancy but I just like the color scheme. Some really well-placed controls, here on the side you have external music controls. You press those and you can activate the music player. You can play around with the tracks and go fast forward and rewind and do whatever you want without really going into the menu. So that is always a nice touch. The display is pretty nice, it's pretty bright and colorful. Mini sleek to little retro for some reason with the graphics. Not the greatest but you know pretty user-friendly overall and not difficult to use. Moving on the navigation controls, just have a toggle here it is square. Pretty big and actually is raised above the surface of the thumb which is nice. So kind of pretty easy to get in there and maneuver around with couple of soft keys. Also have a talking end key as well and below that the key pad buttons. These were also raised just slightly above the surface of the thumbs so they're pretty easy to use as well. The phone does have a camera, you can see the lens here on the back. No flashes or portrait mirror so we gonna have to use your creativity with taking photos. Here on the top you have a dedicated power button. You have a USB connectivity slot and you have a headset jack. Overall features are very Express Music, you have the music player of course. Getting music on the phone is pretty easy. All you need to do is connect to computer and you get to slide it over. [Unintelligible] doesn't have any online music score. See you can't really download over the air but you can slide this [unintelligible] easily. Otherwise, you have Blue tooth and make this with camera organizer functions and everything you might expect with such a mid great charm. Overall pretty good quality and pretty decent performance. I'm Kent German this is the Nokia 5310 Express Music.
