>> [Ken Sherman:] Hi, I'm Ken Sherman, senior editor here at CNET.com. I'm here at CTIA, fall 2009 in San Diego to show you the Nokia 3711. It's a new phone for T-Mobile service. It's a pretty low-end phone, as most handsets for T-Mobile go. It is a flip phone. It doesn't have a whole lot of features: two-megapixel camera, speaker phone, personal organizer options, messaging, email. Has a pretty simple design as well. It's available in a sable finish. That's what you see here. Not really sure what sable is. It looks more like a gray to me and a little bit of black on the front. But pretty thin on the side. You open it up; you can see it almost has a smooth [inaudible] here in the back. Pretty standard display, basic Nokia menus. So not a really whole lot to talk about there. Keypad and navigation controls pretty nice, have a spacious design. Buttons are very large. You can dial and text quickly. Also the numbers on the keys are very large as well. Overall very low to midrange phone. To people that maybe want a little messaging, a little camera, but don't want anything like a real complicated design with a QWERTY keyboard or real high-end multimedia features. I'm Ken Sherman, and this is the Nokia 3711. ^M00:01:05 [ MUSIC ]

Nokia 3711 - sable (T-Mobile) Review
The good: The Nokia 3711 offers a bright display, decent call quality, and admirable photo quality. Its feature set includes Bluetooth and GPS.
The bad: The Nokia 3711's external display isn't useful. The handset's construction feels rather fragile.
The bottom line: The Nokia 3711 puts style over usability, but it offers functional features and decent performance.
