>> Hi, I'm Kent German senior editor here at CNET.com. Today we'll take a first look at the Nokia 2366I. This is a new phone from Verizon wireless service. Verizon and Sprint don't have a lot of Nokia phones in their lineup, but this one is an exception. And if you're looking for a Nokia styling and a phone that just makes basic calls this is a good handset for you, very simple design, just a basic flip form factor. Simple black color on the outside a little bit of a pattern here surrounding the external display, which is a thin silver ring, but overall this phone is very compact. It feels very light in the hand. You have a covered head set check here on the top and a charger port here on the bottom with only a volume rocker on the side, so, very simple design on the outside of this phone. External display is monochrome, but it shows all the information you need. Has a blue back lighting, unfortunately can't be changed, but since it's not a camera phone, we're really not disappointed with the lack of no color. The internal display is a little dim doesn't provide 65,000 colors so it's not up there at the 262,000 color displays. So it just isn't very vibrant, doesn't show graphics well, but for browsing through the basic menus and for just looking for text messages it's perfectly adequate. We did like that the menu system isn't the standardized Verizon menu system that we seen in other phones, does have a just a pretty basic design that's easy to understand. Overall, though very simple design really a phone for making calls, doesn't have multimedia messaging. Doesn't have a web browser just has very basic organized features and text messaging as well.
