Nikon's entry level interchangeable-lens camera Video Transcript

-Hi, Lori Grunin from CNET [unk] at the Nikon booth on the very noisy and crowded show floor here at CES. Nikon announced the Nikon 1 S1 here at the show. It is very similarly designed to the old J1 and it's their entry-level interchangeable lens model with the lower resolution 10 megapixel CX sensor. It is notable for the lack of a mode dial and the interface actually looks very similar to the Sony NEX models with the big entry point icons. It has what I consider one of the really nice features of some of these cameras. The popup flash can actually be tilted back while shooting to get a nice bounce or just a less harsh flash, and it actually makes it quite a lot more usable. This isn't the kit lens; it will ship with the 11- to 27.5-millimeter lens which is a lot more compact at the end of the month and it will cost $499.95. I'm Lori Grunin and this is the Nikon 1 S1.
