>> Hi. I'm Lori Grunin, Senior Editor with CNET and this is the Nikon D90. First, if you're considering getting the D60, I heartily suggest that you spend the extra few hundred dollars and get this instead. It's a completely different class of camera. It's made much better. It's not really weather sealed the way the high-end cameras are but it's still built like a tank, as I'm fond of saying, and it's actually kind of heavy. It's slightly heavier than the D80 which was about a pound and a half. However, it's great to shoot with. It has a very nice responsive burst performance. It's fast. It's about the same speed as the D80 and the image quality is very, very good. It goes up to ISO 6400 and you really don't wanna use that but it's extremely clean up to ISO 3200. This upgrade to the D80 has a 12-mega pixel sensor as opposed to the 10-mega pixel in that model and it features a new kit lens which is an 18-105 millimeter. It's simply a very, very nice 1000-dollar camera. Plus, it's the first digital SLR to support movie capture. You do the movie capture in live mode and it supports 24-frame per second, 1280 x 720 video which is technically 720p HD. There are some limitations. You can't, of course, Autofocus while you're in movie mode. But once you get used to some of the other button placements such as the white balance and ISO on the left side of the screen, you'll get used to it. Otherwise, it's very, very nice, 1000 digital SLR. I'm Lori Grunin and this is the Nikon D90. [ Music ]

The Nikon Coolpix S200 digital camera looks pretty and will fit almost anywhere, but it just doesn't take very good photos.
Its feature set is basic even by entry-level standards, but the Nikon D3000 delivers the photo quality and performance you expect when stepping up to a dSLR, with an optional interface that's very newbie friendly.
Nikon Coolpix new L series models
The Nikon Coolpix L10, L11, and L12 models are budget-friendly digital cameras that take decent pictures and have face detection but don't do much else.
As long as you don't need seriously high-resolution photos, video capture, or machine-gun-fast sports shooting, the Nikon D700 has everything you need in a pro full-frame camera for a reasonable price.
Power-line technology can help you in situations where wireless doesn't work, but most will be better served by a range-enhanced Wi-Fi network.
Even though its picture is subpar and the battery doesn't last long, the Insignia NS-PDVD8 should be good enough for someone looking for the most basic affordable portable DVD player.
Nikon's D60 fails to impress and costs more than some competing models, despite modest improvements in performance and a couple of new features.
The Nikon D300 is a significant upgrade over the D200 and an excellent all-around choice because of visibly better photo quality and slightly improved performance.
Sony's Alpha DSLR-A100 deserves consideration whether you're looking for an alternative to Canon and Nikon, you already own a selection of Maxxum AF lenses, or you're looking for your first digital SLR.
Quick Tips: Using your Nikon D80's Shutter Priority Mode
Ever want to freeze the action when photographing sports, races, or other subjects that move? Your Nikon digital SLR can do it using 'Shutter Priority Mode.'
Nikon D90 (with 18-105mm lens) Review
The good: First-rate performance; solid, well-constructed body with nice viewfinder; video capture capability; great photo quality.
The bad: Middling kit lens; poor HDMI output implementation.
The bottom line: Like the D80 before it, the Nikon D90 delivers an excellent dSLR for the money.
