-It's Tuesday, August 23, 2011. I'm Wilson Tang on cnet.com and it's time to get loaded. Research in Motion has launched new Blackberry Curves today. The new Curve 9350, 9360, and 9370, all run Blackberry OS 7 are powered by 800 mega hertz processor and come with 512 MB of RAM. In addition, the personal smartphone have a HVGA plus display with a 5-megapixel camera on the back with flash, GPS, and new near filed communications' technologies. Unfortunately, you won't find a touchscreen on the new Curves but the phones will be available in Canada this month and carriers around the world soon. Speaking of new phones, rumors are hitting up at the upcoming iPhone 5 will be Apple's first dual mode smartphone. Most phones included in the current iPhone 4 have two models, one version that runs on GSM and another that runs on a different standard called CDMA. The new iPhone 5 is expected to work on both as confirmed supposedly by Verizon executive. Additionally, some developers are saying that their apps are running on these new dual mode phones. The iPhone 5 is expected to launch at the end of September or beginning of October. A few weeks ago, Fox announced that it will delay television shows by eight days after they air before posting them online on its website and video services like Hulu. It now seems that the action may have backfired a little bit. According to file site TorrentFreak, illegal downloads of popular talks shows have increased since their 8 delay was instituted. During the first 5 days, downloads in the US of the latest episodes of Hell's Kitchen increased by 114% compared to the previous 3 episodes. A federal judge has decided that MP3 tunes and music locker service like Google music is legal, but also that the company's founder Michael Robertson is personally liable for music he uploads to its service without permission of copyright holders. The judge said that users themselves are personally responsible for uploading pirated music, but that MP3 tunes was also responsible for removing and infringing material. Robertson may be liable to up to 75 million dollars for infringing on roughly 500 songs for $150,000 each. News of hacks have regular these days with attacks on major corporations, governments, and private information. Now, a hacker name Solar has a created a website called rankmyhack.com so that hackers can show off their talents. So far, hackers have submitted evidence of more than 1200 website attacks. The site awards points based on the popularity of the hacked site and the technical difficulty. So far, top hacks include the Huffington Post who had no comment and Google who says that the attacks post no risk to users. After this weekend's fire sale of HP touchpad, some are wondering if or when the HP Pre 3 will be released. According to HP, the unlocked Pre 3 will go on sale shortly in both France and the UK for just $75, a dramatic drop in the current price of around $500. Unfortunately, the phone will not go on sale in the US at all, but if you can get your hands on the European version, they should work to some extent on AT&T and T-Mobile cellular networks.
