I'm Scott Stein and -- -- back to school shopping season well under way and a -- of ultra books are around at night. One of the most stylish -- of last year was the Samsung series nine and this year the new Samsung series nine has debuted just in time for mid summer. With a new Intel Core I series processor -- third gen. Core I five and core -- seven. The Samsung series 913 inch do you see here is 1299. And this is at the top and of luxury ultra books -- certainly young ones for 799. Why would you wanna pay up for this well it's only a hundred dollars more than the MacBook Air it's kind of funny how many times have you ever said. Only XXX more than a MacBook Air. And you get pretty similar specs four gigs of ram and 128 gigabyte SSD. What you do you get here is a smaller. Thinner lighter. Product believe it or not. Thinner at its thickest point. And two point six pounds compared to -- hair under three pounds for the thirteen inch MacBook Air also smaller footprint here. That's pretty impressive and it amounts to. A razor thin and feel very light very portable really nicely design. Well as a backlit keyboard zippy performance and a fantastic screen really bright an arguable from all angles really really sharp screen. And actor looking for that you're looking for the smallest most portable type of ultra book that money can buy. You really might wanna look into this one drawback the touchpad while it's -- is a little bit finicky well that's true of a lot of windows touch -- that just having gotten it right. And this when I found myself prone to highlighting text accidentally -- it was pretty frustrating. Not a deal breaker. And for all the other construction quality has put into this really nice feel solid aluminum. Very sturdy and less flecks seen in the last series nine and significantly lighter and smaller he got a package that's really hard to be. And they really do anything crazy with weird motorized -- -- words are strange elements although you're not gonna find a lot of ports on this. You don't -- a lot on the MacBook Air either there are two full USB ports one USB 31 USB two. And then everything else is relegated to -- -- Jackson little goggles. Which is frustrating if you -- -- plug in an ethernet cable for instance but there is an ethernet dongle that's included. The plugs into its own little port. That's nice and there is an SD card slot although you may not be able to see it here. Now as far as HDMI. Or VGA those require extra connectors are adapters and again those have their own dedicated little micro slots. Overall it is a very nice luxury ultra book and surprisingly small even for those were used to looking a lot of these like myself. The new Samsung series nine is about as sleek and small as it -- from Scott Stein and that's a look at the new Samsung series 913 --
