>> Hi! I'm Natali Del Conte with CNET TV. We're here at Digital Experience in Las Vegas and we're looking at the mStation 2.1 Stereo Tower. Now, this is a 42-inch iPod Dock. This is not your mother's iPod Dock. This is a pretty heavy duty iPod Dock. It's got these speakers that actually rotate out of it. So, if you wanna direct the sound in a room, you just give it a big turn. It's a bit sticky, it's not as easy as it looks, you gotta kind of manhandle it, but they do turn out. It's got a 5.25-inch subwoofer, so you really get this going. You reach underneath, you can feel the vibration. This is a real subwoofer, it actually goes for it. It's got a 10-key remote, you can see here. The cool thing about this remote is that you can control the base, and the trouble from the remote. You don't actually have to go to the iPod and find the sound settings. You can do that straight from the remote here. If you don't have an iPod, though you wanted to connect to your Zune, it can do that, you can look in the back here. It's got Line In and USB, so, it can connect to your PC, connect to whatever other music player you're using. Also, if you want to plug your PC in and sink your iPod to your iTunes directly, you can use this as a docking station. So, kind of a neat thing. This again is the mStation 2.1 Stereo Tower and I'm Natali Del Conte with CNET TV. ^M00:01:23 [ Music ]

mStation 2.1 Tower Speaker System w/ iPod Dock Review

Editors' rating

The good: The mStation 2.1 Stereo Tower offers a unique design and plenty of low-end boom. It includes a built-in iPod dock and an auxiliary line input for any other audio source. Plus, it gets really loud.

The bad: The mStation 2.1 Stereo Tower is pricey, and it suffers from janky construction.

The bottom line: The mStation 2.1 Stereo Tower offers an alternative design befitting a home office or dorm, but it packs enough punch to rock a room many times that size.
