>> Hey, I'm Tom Merritt from CNET.com here at CES 2009, taking a look at the Motorola W233, or the Renew. Now, this is as green of a phone as I've seen. The case is made of recycled water bottles. Not exactly these kind of water bottles. It's the bigger kind you see in the water coolers when you're standing around talking about "Lost." Those things get recycled and made into this plastic. But they don't stop there. They've got recycled paper in the box. The box itself is made of recycled cardboard. And they give you an envelope to send back your old cell phone, if you want to make sure that it gets recycled properly. And then they buy carbon offsets, just to make you feel even better, through Carbonfund.org. Not only for the creation of the phone, but the entire lifecycle of the phone during your use. So if you want to feel environmentally sound, this is the phone for you. It's also a phone. It's got a MP3 player on it. And it is going to be available through T-Mobile. And they don't have a price for it yet through T-Mobile, but probably with a contract, it'll be extremely affordable. Once again, this is available coming in Q1. It's the Motorola W233, or the Motorola Renew. At CES 2009, I'm Tom Merritt. ^M00:01:15

Motorola Renew W233 (T-Mobile) Review
The good: The Motorola Renew W233 offers satisfying call quality in a simple, eco-friendly design.
The bad: The Motorola Renew W233 has a low-resolution display and it offers few features. Also, it lacks a side-mounted volume rocker.
The bottom line: The Motorola Renew W233 is more than just a green device; it's also a decent phone.
