>> Hi, I'm Kent German, senior editor here at CNET.com. Today we are going to take a first look at the Motorola razor max VE; this is a new phone for Verizon wireless service. Yes it is in other razor but in fact this razor evokes a little bit different from the others, you can see here it does have a camera flash, don't see that in the lot of razors, just on the razor V3X which actually never made it to a US carrier. We see a glossy front instead of that metal plate on the outside, we do have a, and it even shows up, we have some external music controls. So a couple of nice, new features, the external display is larger than on a lot of other razors, here on this side we have a volume rocker, regular Motorola smart key along with the speakerphone key. Here on this side we have a key for voice dialing and the voice recorder. Single speaker on the back, not the best place as the sound is directed away from you when you are watching a video or listening to music. Overall it does make for a sleeker look but the front face does catch fingerprints very easily, inside you will find a nice display, nice that it takes up almost the whole flap, it is 65,000 colors which is less than some other razors. Moving down to the keypad and navigation controls, very similar to other razors, the circular toggle with an okay button in the center. Keypad buttons have large numbers on them and they are backlit, a little bit off a slight rage between the keys, so dialing by feel isn't impossible but it still is a bit difficult thanks to that completely flat keypad. This is an interesting control right here, it is a button for the camera, you can use it to help focus and you can also use it to take shots in some situations, not really sure why Motorola put it here, it definitely is useful but it seems a bit repetitive at times when you consider it has a camera button here. Over all though same thing shape you expect from a razor, feels a little bit more solid on the hand because it is a little heavier, features include Bluetooth, two mega pixel camera, E-video capability for all of Verizons 3-D services. I'm Kent German and this is the Motorola razor max VE. ^M00:01:45 [ Music ]

Motorola Razr maxx Ve (Verizon Wireless) Review
The good: The Motorola Razr Maxx Ve offers a broad range of features, decent call quality, and an improved design.
The bad: The Motorola Razr Maxx Ve had disappointing speakerphone and streaming-video quality. You can't activate the camera when the phone is closed, and the front face attracts fingerprints.
The bottom line: The Motorola Razr Maxx Ve includes a couple of improvements to the Razr line that make it the most satisfying CDMA Razr to date.
