>> Hi I'm Kent German, senior editor here at CNET.com. Today we are going to take a first look at the Motorola Krazor K-1 M. this is the Sprint version which is just a bit different from the Verizon version. The difference as you can see is it is a bit darker; it does have a black color instead of the dark gray that we saw on the Verizon model. Features are similar though, it does have the external display right here, it does have the multimedia buttons for controlling the MP3 player and pretty much the same controls on the side. Open it up, inside very similar to the Verizon Krazor as well and in the GSM Krazor K-1. Do have a 65,000 color display; display is decent for showing what you need. Can see that it does have a Sprint interface of course, so there is a lot of yellow in there, doesn't use Motorola's standard interface and doesn't use the Verizon interface of course. So Sprint is a nice alternative to the two, it's a little easier to use, just a little more attractive, especially than that Verizon interface. Like on the other Krazor's, we do have a tiny bit of definition on the keypad buttons, which makes it a little easier to dial by feel, overall though this keypad can take some acclamation, especially if you are using a flat keypad the first time. Features are pretty much the same as on the Verizon Krazor, mega pixel camera, that's a 1.3 mega pixel as opposed to a two mega pixel on the GSM Krazor K-1, Bluetooth though, speakerphone. It's compatible with Sprint's E video service so you get Sprint TV, the Sprint music store and also a couple new applications, NFL mobile and Sprint power view, which enables you to watch full-length movies on the phone, although I can't imagine staring at this thing for two hours. I'm Kent German and this is the Motorola Krazor K-1 M for Sprint. ^M00:01:29 [ Music ]

Motorola Krzr K1m (Sprint) Review

Editors' rating

The good: The Motorola Krzr K1m for Sprint has an attractive, trendy design with an admirable feature set including 3G EV-DO support, Bluetooth, and a megapixel camera. It makes good calls too.

The bad: The Motorola Krzr K1m for Sprint suffers from unimpressive music quality and sluggish performance. Also, it offers a lower-resolution camera than on the GSM Krzr K1, and the MicroSD card slot is inconveniently located.

The bottom line: Sprint's pretty Motorola Krzr K1m is similar to its Verizon counterpart. Though its EV-DO offerings are slightly better, its performance was a tad diminished.
