>> Hi. I'm Kent German, senior editor here at CNET.com. Today we're going to take a first look at the Motorola I576. This is a phone for Nextel service. It has all the hallmarks of a Nextel phone. It is pretty sturdy, has a little rubber covering here around the side and just a little bit on the back as well. It's black, a pretty basic design, not really flashy or stylish, a little bulky as well. Like most Nextel phones, the external display is small and rectangular, will show numeric caller id, the date and time; things like that. But the text is very small so if you have some visual impairments, you might want to check this phone out first. Inside the phone you'll find a full-color display. It is a pretty decent size for the phone's overall size. Down in navigation controls and keypad, you see there's a big toggle right here. It's silver, so it differentiates itself from the black background of the keypad. Keypad buttons are nice. They're spacious. They're spaced far apart, have large numbers and letters on them, also brightly backlit. Interesting now, the bottom of the phone is blue, down by the speaker. Not really sure why that is. It has no really useful function besides just being a speaker, but it's just a little thing to note. Features on the phone are pretty basic. There's no camera, but you will find GPS. You will find Bluetooth, personal organizer functions, a speakerphone, and all of the direct connect, push-to-talk features that Nextel has on its phones. So overall, a basic phone, not a lot to talk about, but a rugged design and just that reliable Nextel functionality. I'm Kent German, and this is the Motorola I576. ^M00:01:25 [ Music ]
