Most popular products for June Video Transcript

Welcome to CNET Top 5, where each time we meet, we count down another hot CNET list. I'm Tom Merritt. It is that time of the month to take a look at what product reviews you are visiting the most. These are the most popular products according to CNET visitors. So, let's count 'em down. At No. 5, The Panasonic TC-P50G10. It's a 50-inch plasma that David Katzmaier says is the head of the class for 2009 TVs. It's also not a phone. But the rest of the Top 5 are phones. Coming in at No. 4, The Samsung Impression for AT&T. It's certainly pretty, but riddle me this Samsung? How do you think you can get away with a proprietary headset for a smartphone in this day and age? Hmm? Up to No. 3, the LG Versa for Verizon. It has a full HTML browser but somehow manages to make that worse than some of those little mini-browsers in clamshell phones. No Wi-Fi either. Hence you keep searching. Sliding in at No. 2, The Samsung Alias 2 for Verizon. The keypad changes form depending on how you're using it, pretty sweet, but it doesn't have Wi-Fi or POP3 e- mail. Not such a smartphone. So what's No. 1? What phone is the most viewed review at CNET this month. Before we answer that, time for another Lame Prize! You know the drill. I ask a question, be one of the first 10 folks to answer correctly at blog.cnettv.com and win the lame prize which is...this beautiful burgundy iPhone case! Here's the question. You weren't always obsessed with phones. What non-phone was the number one most popular product in June 2008. Blog.cnettv.com. All right. Let's get to our No. 1. And it is a phone, because within the last year CNET users have become phone-obsessed At No. 1, it's...the Samsung Omnia, also for Verizon. You just love this phone. Preloaded widget limitations be damned. The Omnia has taken up permanent residence on the top 5. It has Wi-Fi! See? I'm just saying other phones. Take the hint. Well That's it for this edition of CNET Top 5. Don't forget to post in the comments of this top 5 at blog.cnettv.com for a chance to win the iPhone case. It's a consolation prize for you iPhone fanboys who are sad the iPhone hasn't been in the Top 5 in months. I'm Tom Merritt. See you next time.
