Welcome to CNET Top 5, where each time we meet, we count down another hot CNET list. I'm Tom Merritt. Once again we dip into the CNET traffic logs to assess the most popular products. And once again, it's dominated by phones. But not just phones! What nonphones have suddenly captured your interest? ..let's count 'em down. At No. 5, a camera! the Canon PowerShot S90. It is often raved about as almost like a dSLR, but keep in mind it doesn't have dSLR speed. Still, it's an excellent camera for advanced amateurs. Coming in at No. 4, the HTC Droid Eris. And back to the phones. You know this one. You apparently kind of love this one. It's the smaller, more affordable cousin to the Motorola Droid, but made by HTC Up to No. 3, the HTC Nexus One, aka the Google phone. Announced for AT&T and Verizon and already tearing it up on T-Mobile, this is the phone that iPhone-haters usually tout as the iPhone killer. Sliding in at No. 2, the Motorola Droid. Surprisingly, its always in front of the Nexus One. It definitely gets better marketing, although some think it's a little clunkier. But that doesn't matter. You love it. But what knocked it out of the top spot? Before we get to No. 1, Let's take a look back into the archives at the most popular from May 2009. See?! The list does really change! All right. Let's get to our No. 1. The product most viewed on CNET. Your most popular product At No. 1, it's...the iPad. Well, no surprise there. With all the hype and hoopla around this much touted tablet, even the most skeptical probably took a look to see what all the noise was about. The question is, does it have any staying power? Well That's it for this edition of CNET Top 5. Want to affect this list? View some reviews on CNET.com. Every page you view is a vote. I'm Tom Merritt. See you next time.
