>> Jasmine France: Last year Monster Cables made a splash with these ultra stylish turbine earphones. Now the company has upped the ante with a high end edition to the line. I'm Jasmine France and I'm here with the Monster Turbine Pro in ear speakers. As the name suggests the ear pieces of this set are designed with turbine engines in mind. The construction is solid metal and the exterior edge is indented and decorated with slanted notches. Monster offers the ear phones in a choice of 2 colors: Gold which I have here and copper which I actually like a little bit better. The ear pieces are quite compact and the packaging includes a nice array of both foam and silicone ear tips so I had no trouble achieving a secure and comfortable fit. However, it's worth noting that the metal housing makes the ear buds quite heavy which means they may tend to slip out of some people's ears especially during strenuous activity. The cable of the Turbine Pro's is also well made. It's extra flexible and thick and it has a bit of reinforcement at the ear pieces NL plug all of which bode well for durability. Monster also includes 2 cases for protecting the ear phones when you're not using them. [ Background music ]
>> Jasmine France: Of course the real test of any audio device is sound quality and the Turbine Pro's certainly sound great with sparkling highs, buttery mids and a tight thumping low end. But then again they cost $300 so they should sound excellent. If you have money to burn and an eye for style these are a solid choice. I'm Jasmine France for CNET. ^M00:01:22 [ Music ]
