-I'm Nicole Lee, Senior Associate Editor for CNET.com, and this is a first look at the T-Mobile G2X by LG. This phone won our Best of CTIA Award recently in the phone category and as you can see here, it is a very slim and sleek-looking device. On the front here is a 4-inch WVGA display. It looks very beautiful as you can see here. It is framed by a piano-black glossy display as well, so it looks very sleek and seamless. The T-Mobile G2X comes with Android 2.2 Froyo. This is a native version of Android, so there are no skins or no overlays--just native, pure Android. One of the most impressive features of the G2X is that it has 1 gigahertz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor that makes it a very fast phone. Even when scrolling through menus or launching applications, it just seems that much faster. Of course, this additional horsepower gives it the ability to run very impressive HD video and HD gaming. In fact, the G2X comes with the NVIDIA Tegra Zone app that lets you find the best games to take advantage of your Tegra 2 processor. Because the G2X has such a beautiful screen and a dual-core processor, it's no wonder it has plenty of multimedia features. They include HDMI mirroring so you can see what's on your phone on the big screen television, as well as DLNA support that lets you stream whatever is on your phone to a DLNA-supported TV. As for video, it also has 1080p MPEG-4/H.264 playback and recording. In addition to the 8-megapixel camera on the back, it also has a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The G2X is also compatible with T-Mobile's HSPA Plus, or 4G, network that gives this blazing fast Internet speeds. It also has Wi-Fi plus mobile hotspot capability of up to 5 additional devices. Other features of the T-Mobile G2X are GPS with TeleNav support and T-Mobile TV, which is T-Mobile's live streaming service. You also get Qik Video Chat built-in and the ability to make calls over Wi-Fi. Even though the G2X runs Android 2.2, LG has promised that it will be upgradable to 2.3. With such an impressive array of features, the T-Mobile G2X is reasonably priced at $199.99 with a new 2-year service agreement. If you wish to buy it without a contract however, it is around $500. I'm Nicole Lee. This has been a first look at the T-Mobile G2X.

T-Mobile G2x Review
The good: The T-Mobile G2x features a 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor that delivers great performance. It also has a sharp design, plenty of multimedia features, and HSPA+ speeds.
The bad: The T-Mobile G2x's photo quality did not meet our expectations. The call quality could also be slightly better.
The bottom line: The T-Mobile G2x's simple Android interface, blazingly fast speeds, and polished look make it the phone to beat in T-Mobile's lineup.
