Maximo Park: "Apply Some Pressure" Video
Maximo Park rocks out in some eye-catching suits.
Southern California quintet Saosin are one of the fastest-growing headliners in rock – earning mainstage slots on the Vans Warped Tour, selling out clubs in a flash, going out with heavyweights like AFI, Avenged Sevenfold, My Chemical Romance and Taking Back Sunday and garnering an ocean of fans who’ve downloaded their songs from MySpace over five million times – all before they’ve released a full-length album.
Do You Like Rock Music? was made in Montreal, the Czech Republic and Fort Tregantle - a 19th Century fortification in Cornwall, on England’s south-west coast. It was recorded by a band unafraid to embrace the far poles of arts and entertainment. BSP have toured with and been praised by David Bowie, The Flaming Lips, Lou Reed, Radiohead and Jarvis Cocker. But they’ve also been invited to play in celebration of the life and times of Sir John Betjeman, the late UK Poet Laureate, born in 1906. And they’ve played shows with The Copper Family, a clan of Sussex folk singers who’ve been going for two hundred years.
An average video for an above average band. Air Fare are a 3 piece rock group with a different sound, who recently recorded an album in the Czech Republic and are going back soon to tour with the label RGM.
Paul McCartney earned three Grammy nominations for his critically acclaimed album, "Chaos And Creation In The Backyard." With nominations for Album Of The Year, Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, for the album's first single "Fine Line," and Best Pop Vocal Album, (as well as a Producer Of The Year nod for Nigel Godrich) McCartney's "Chaos" stands as one of the most nominated albums of the year. "It's always great to be recognized for your work,? said McCartney, who recently completed his sold-out, 37-city, "US Tour" of America. "We're very proud of the album, the reception it's had and I?m chuffed for Nigel. It was a great album to make. And seeing as I've never actually won a Grammy for my post-Wings work, it's pretty exciting..." "Chaos And Creation In The Back Yard" is McCartney?s 20th studio recording since The Beatles. Upon its release, which marked the end to a nearly four year studio hiatus for McCartney, the recording was met with unprecedented universal critical praise. The comparisons to "Chaos," were made at the time, many pointing out similarities to "McCartney," as well as to the Beatles "White Album." "Chaos" was produced by Nigel Godrich (Radiohead, Travis and Beck) and was recorded in London and Los Angeles over the past two years.
