Make a custom Nook screensaver Video Transcript

Hey everyone, I'm Sharon Vaknin for CNET.com with an easy guide to customizing your Nook screensavers. By default, you Nook uses pictures [unk] as your screensaver, but that can get a little boring. Instead, gather up all the photos you'd like to use in your screensaver. You can go ahead and look for fun arty stuff from the web or use your own personal pictures. Portrait images work best because the Nook's screen size. Once you've downloaded the pictures to you desktop and put them in a folder. The name of the folder will the name of your screensaver when it shows up on your Nook. Open up the photos and in photo editing program like fit for windows or preview format and resize them to 600 x 800. If the picture is not already portrait size, crop it in Microsoft paint by using the select tool and get as close to a 3 x 4 ratio as you can, the click resize, change to pixels and enter 600 x 800. On a Mac, open the images and preview. If they are not portrait size already, select an area with your mouse and then click [unk] to crop. Now, you need to get to 600 x 800. Go to tools, adjust size and check scale proportionately and enter 600 x 800. Once you've edited all your pictures and save them in a folder, connect your Nook. Open the drive and drag your folder to images into the screesaver's folder on your Nook. Then eject you Nook and go to settings, then screen. Tap screensaver and your new screensaver will be listed below. Of course, if you're too lazy to add your own images, you simply view a google search for Nook screen savers and escape the hard part.
