Mailbag: Vampires did not kill Crave Video Transcript
Hey, everyone, I'm Tom Merritt, filling in for the vacationing Molly Wood and welcome to the CNET Mailbag, the show where we take your feedback and answer your questions about the stuff we're doing here at CNET. And what a week for Molly to leave. We received a deluge of email like this one from Sam. I was watching Crave on 10/30 and i was wondering why Brian and Bonnie kept saying goodbye???? is this the last episode of Crave??? If so why is it ending??? Here are a few more examples Rafa says Please, Cnet don't Kill the crave podcast. PLEASE! Tales writes Why did Crave stop? seriously why? I've been watching it since the first episode (and not this new version, the old one, in the creepy white dentist studio). If we send enough e-mails like we did with Mailbag, will it come back? Wogus cries I Crave Bonnie Boom Cha + Brian combination!! Applybyte... it's cool but OMG OMG OMG!!! Bring Brian + Bonnie BACK!!!!!!!! So Brian Tong, what's the scoop? And while we have you here, Nick writes in and asks Are Brian Tong and Bonnie Cha going out? Time for Straight Talk BT. Is that the real reason? All right we must move on to other issues. Like Sharp-eyed Alex. I just wanted to tell you that in the review video for the Cagic 8.4-inch digital photo frame there was an upside down picture of a family. Maybe next time you should try taking the pictures with the camera right side up :) Well Alex, I know what you're talking about. 40 seconds into the video one of the pictures drops down and it looks like a couple of people playing in a field. But they're not upside down Alex. They're from Australia. AA19, whom I can only assume is a droid, writes I was wondering why there are not the Top 10 Holiday Picks been played. This is very queer because evry October, those videos are released. AA19, is your ocular implant faulty?? They're up. OK, they went up like a week after you wrote us but the point is, our top 10 Holiday Pick videos are now posted at CNET TV.com and you just gave us a fantastic chance to promote them. Bill in Dayton, Ohio has uncovered my ghoulis secret. He writes, When I am not cruising around CNET.com, I usually have a chance to watch a show (or two) on the History Channel. I got bored watching the 'evolution of chocolate' (yawn), so I switched over to History International (stay with me here...) I believe I just saw TOM MERRITT (or his evil twin?) on a show: Vampire Secrets (2006) ,where he was playing a non-speaking role of a true-life doctor who verified the existence of Vampires. WHAT THE HECK!! Was it just sleep deprivation, or is it true? Yes it's true. My wife was a producer on the show and in a brilliant budget-saving maneuver got me and Veronica Belmont to appear as extras. Mine was a speaking role originally, but my voice hit the cutting room floor. Probably because of my French accent. Which I've been doing this entire show. See? Not very convincing. And finally from Derek in Eugene, Oregon I was surfing around cnet tv today (not a work... really) and I noticed that Mailbag debuted on October 24th of 2007. I'm a little late on my congratulatory email for which I apologize, but I figured better late than never. Happy Anniversary! That's the real reason Molly's off. BIG anniversary party for Mailbag. All right folks, thanks for letting me sit in for Molly. She'll be back in the saddle next week. But keep that feedback coming! Email Mailbag@cnet.com, or send us a postcard. 235 2nd St., San Francisco, CA, 94105. See you next week!
