>> Hey everybody, I'm Molly Wood. Welcome to the CNET Mail Bag, the show where we take your feedback about the stuff we do here at CNET. And we have got some good stuff for you this week, so let's jump on in. Emilio wrote in to say hey, I love the car reviews on CNET TV, but how do they get all those shots outside or above the car? There's a lot of good camera work in that show. Emilio, you're right. And it's about time we gave you an inside look at the painstaking setup one of these shoots involves. ^M00:00:41

>> Hope you don't go flying off the roof and hit somebody. Although I think we should use the stick mask cause it's a lot more -

>> This is a bit sturdier.

>> Sorry.

>> Of course navigation, hard drive based, the space to rip media to the drive, that's a key. [ laughter ] ^M00:01:05

>> Of course the camera work may be great, but the driving isn't always the best. Check it out, they got the van a little stuck here.

>> Back up. [ tires screeching ]

>> Straighten. [ tires screeching ]

>> Are you in reverse?

>> Good, good, good. Stop. Boy this is scary. We got that all on tape too.

>> Luckily they know when to keep the cameras rolling. Okay, moving on we got a tip from about a million people after last week's show. Dan Pan and many others said on a recent episode of Mail Bag you said the iPhone had a problem because you must change pages to use a period while typing. In reality, you can simply double tap the space bar, and it will add a period automatically. That guy was just lazy. Double. Also, good tip. Okay, and now for a very polite request from Amar, who writes CNET claims to be such a leader in text up, well why the heck don't you guys make your guys sixteen by nine and or HD. This is so hypocritical. I've been a CNET reader since the very start, but I am very disappointed in this, especially when most of the laptop like my MacBook Pro are widescreen laptops. Sixteen by nine, please. Hypocritical? That's a little harsh. But Amar, you'll be happy to know that we will begin shooting some CNET TV content, including Mail Bag, The Buzz Report, Insider Secrets, Prize Fight, and other shows in sixteen by nine starting next week. And here's a little note from someone who hasn't been keeping up on his mailbag episodes. WMRO2 wrote in and said is there any way to have CNET TV display something like closed captions? So just a refresher for those of you who may not know, CNET TV has closed captions. Just click the little CC button right there on the playback window and read to your heart's content. And finally, I don't know if you noticed, but we're now releasing the Buzz Out Loud audio podcast as a video on Fridays. And TK421 had some feedback on the show. He said what's the deal with the BOL set? It looks like it came straight out of some interrogation scene from a TV show. I kept expecting Jack Bower to burst in with a nine millimeter and put it to Tom's head while screaming who do you work for? Oh TK421, you've got it all wrong. We do the interrogating on the BOL set. And on that note, I think I'm gonna need a hacksaw. [ background music ] But keep that feedback coming. Mailbag@cnet.com, or send me a postcard. 235 Second Street, San Francisco, CA, 94105. See you next time. ^M00:03:32 [ music ]
