Hey, everyone, I'm Molly Wood, and welcome to the CNET Mailbag, the show where we take your feedback about the stuff we do here at CNET. I'd like to thank the two people who actually wrote in to translate last week's Croatian email! Which basically said, you're great, hope someone can translate this for you. It takes a village, and a village we have. Ok, let's get to your emails. The big problem of the week? "Loaded" looks like crap. Michael was one of many who wrote in, saying: Why did you change the quality of Loaded from the RSS feeds. It is terrible now and hardly watchable even on my PMP. Please go back to a higher definition image. Michael, and others, I asked our CNET TV product manager about this and he said: It is a compatibility problem with a new outside vendor we are using to serve our video downloads. Apparently it only affects videos produced in our New York office. YEAH, because SAN FRANCISCO RULES. We hope to have it resolved by next week. Hey guys, I'm 14, and don't understand the significance of the phrase "All your base are belong to us?", due to my lack of existence in the 80s. Can you please explain it? Peace, Paul P.S. Well, Paul, let me introduce you to my old friend, Wikipedia, where we discover that All Your Base became an Internet phenomenon in 2001 and 2002 (when you were a long-in-the-tooth 10-year-old, my friend), after someone made a Flash animation out of the cut scene of the European Sega Mega Drive version of a Japanese video game called Zero Wing. Beyond that, just know that it's funny and people will think you're pretty cool if you say it, but they'll think you're even cooler if you say, "I can haz cheezburger?" Thanks for writing in! Jake wrote in to us and said: I have come to know and love the awesome theme songs in the CNET shows so I just have one thing to say... WHAT THE QUADROPLOD HAPPENED TO THE OLD MAILBAG THEMESONG??!!!! Remember that one episode of Mailbag where you said all the cool sounds for cnet TV were written by that one guy. Well, I found the Mailbag intro music in iMovie 08'! It's a sample sound. Just thought you should clarify that. =O -JakeO There you go. I can't be having a sample sound as my Mailbag music! Weak! Our music guy didn't write the new stuff, either, because he's really busy, but it's royalty free music from like, the early 1900s, and I think that's cool. Chris wrote in after last week and said: Hey Molly, when i went to www.nomoreweed.com on wednesday it came up with a UK google search off "is "molly wood" is smoking the weed?" what do YOU have to say about THAT??? from chris. Chris, I have only one thing to say to that: Mailbag viewers are hilarious, and I love you. And finally, SXN wrote in with a little piece of news that might help a lot of us. Hi, I wrote that I was having trouble playing cnet video with firefox 2.0.0.13. I downloaded the latest version of the flash plugin (9.0.124.0) and now it works fine. Thought you'd want to know. (The version I was having trouble with was 9.0.115.0.) DUDE. I never even thought of that, but I have been having the SAME problem, and I downloaded the new plugin, and fingers crossed, it seems to be working. Thank YOU for the tip, this time!
