Mailbag: Feel-good holiday episode Video Transcript

Hey, everyone, I'm Molly Wood, and welcome to the CNET Mailbag, the show where we take your feedback and answer your questions about the stuff we're doing here at CNET. And this week ? it?s the holiday cheer edition. Here are some of the nicest emails you sent over the past year about the CNET folks you like, the shows you dig, and the decisions that made you happy. For EXAMPLE, we went through QUITE the drama with our show open and the disappearing mailman and music. But we got him back, and Thom from Honolulu was one of many to say: YEAH!!!!!!!!! Thank you for bringing the mailman back in the intro. It's where he belongs. Mahalo Molly You?re welcome, Thom. Ok, let?s get some love for the ACTUAL people who work here! Jenny H says: Brian Tong is awesome. I love watching him on prize fight and office hour with his weird yet still really cool sense of style. He has a really awesome personality even if it is somewhat neurotic sometimes :) I hope I can see more of him and his talents on cnet in the coming years. Tom Valentine says: I would also just want to let you folks at CNET know how great a job you're doing. We just bought a new computer on Black Friday and I refused to consider any computers that got bad reviews from you guys (or don't have one yet). I officially designate CNET as Website Most Deserving of People's Love and Appreciation. Since my last name is Valentine I have the authority to do that. Thanks so much, you guys are awesome! Our own Natali Del Conte is HARDLY immune to the lovermail. Matthew says: i love loaded with natali del conte!!! please tell her how cool her show is!!!!!!! Our other editors get recognized, too, don?t think they don?t. You know who gets a lot of lovermail around here? Bonnie Cha. It?s true. She?s got a big fan base. And Allan D. can spot ?em under the makeup ? he says: OMG!! That video of Donald and Jasmine on the Buzz Report was AAAASOMMMEE!! I'm a Huge fan of those guys. More videos of them Please!!! Pretty please, with sprinkles? Henrique from Brazil is all about the news ? he says: I am writing to give my compliments to Kara Tsuboi. After I signed up for "All CNET HD Video Podcasts" on iTunes, I have had the opportunity to watch all the great news coverage that she does. She has a very elegant and clear style and, besides, she seems like such a nice person. Could you pass that along to her? Henrique my friend, I just did. In other international love, Guillermo from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, is all about the CNET Live. He says: and i just wanted to congratulate you all for doing that show, that is a must see for me everyday. You, Tom, Brian and everybody else in there really know your stuff. i haven't missed a cnet live show yet, since the beginning. i wouldn't dare buying something without checking you guys first. By the way, please tell Brian Cooley that i'm the other guy who bought the Zune besides him and i love it. Kurt has something for me and the rest of the CNET gang: After 2 years of having cnet as my home page I wanted to express my appreciation. You guys are great. I think Molly sparked my interest originally don?t let her go. Her wit, sarcasm, along with a much needed feminine touch in this industry has kept me coming back for more. Cnet really seems like a wonderful organization and I hope that you are all having as much fun as it comes across. Keep up the good work. Thank you, Kurt ? and speaking of whether we?re having fun, Jeremy wants to know this: I know you guys seem friendly in your video clips... but is the CNet crew welcoming in person? If I see, let?s say, Molly Wood, Brian Cooley, or Tom Merritt, at CES, should I be absolutely terified to say hey? Well, Jeremy, CES is just around the corner, and we?ll be there ? and we ARE nice in person. Except Brian Tong. Total diva. No, just kidding. Please come by our stage in the South Hall and say hi! We would love to see you there. AND that'll do it for this week, everyone. Happy holidays, happy New Year, and keep that feedback coming! Mailbag@cnet.com, or send me a postcard. 235 2nd St., San Francisco, CA, 94105. See you next week!
