>> This is Antuan Goodwin with CNET Car Tech on the floor at CES 2009 with Mad Mike and Audiovox. For those who don't know who you are, tell us a little bit about yourself.
>> Well, I'm Mad Mike from MTV's "Pimp My Ride." I work at Galpin Auto Sports. And also I'm the custom supervisor at the most famous installation department in the world. That's Galpin Auto Sports.
>> What are the things that you see people getting installed in their cars these days?
>> These days, it's about digital technology. We're going to the MP3 players now. With the new laws around the country, you can't talk on the pone, so Bluetooth technology is really important now.
>> Now, what about the future? What do you think is gonna be over the horizon and coming that we haven't even seen yet?
>> Since we're going to this digital TV thing, we're gonna end up with a whole bunch of analog signals that we have no use for. So what the future is gonna hold for us is someone's gonna come with a analog transmitter that's gonna transmit digital signals to the TV, so you don't have to have that big dish on the top of your car anymore.
>> Well, what about the car audio market? It -- a couple of years ago, people were saying that it's shrinking. But we see a lot of people out here at the show. What's your insight on that?
>> Well, the car audio market is changing. You got to have smaller amplifiers to fit in the smaller spaces. And the digital amplifiers is the new thing, and then smaller woofers because they're not giving us as much room in the cars to fabricate the speaker boxes in. So now, we got to figure out cooler places, those sleeker panels, fiberglass, and carbon fiber. So technology is -- everything's getting smaller, but still having that same bang and power.
>> What are you installing for us today here in the Car News Tech booth?
>> We're installing the new Audiovox CD/DVD player, navigation unit, Bluetooth. Everything that I'm talking about, this thing has everything. And it's a double din unit touchscreen.
>> Awesome. Well, I'm Antuan Goodwin here with Mad Mike at the CNET Car Tech Booth at CES 2009. ^M00:02:00 [ Music ]
