Hi, I'm Scott Stein, senior editor at CNET.com, and this is the Logitech Tablet Keyboard for the iPad. Now, the iPad, you may or may not have a smart cover for it and you may or may not have a stand for it and that's the trick when it comes using keyboards with it is that you're gonna need some way to prop it up. Now, if you have a keyboard case, which reviewed it before in CNET one of these convertible cases that has a keyboard built into it, well then sure, you've got it all in 1 package, but those keyboard cases do have compromises. They can be a little bit cramp for the key size and let's face it, if you wanna write on an iPad not use the virtual keyboard, you want a nice comfortable keyboard, and there the Logitech tablet keyboard. Now, the idea behind this is that it's a full size keyboard, a lot like Apple's Bluetooth keyboard. It sells for $69, and it's got a nice design, pretty compact and uses 4 triple A batteries on the back instead of USB charger. It pairs with your Apple iPad just like any Bluetooth device and then you set it up, you can work on it wireless and write, but what's really clever about Logitech's keyboard is that it's sheet case turns into a stand. It's pretty simple. It's got magnet clasp on the side and inside here is a little blue plastic stand that comes out, snaps in here and then voila! you've a stand for the iPad. It's not that pretty, but it gets the job done and heck if you're traveling around with the keyboard you're gonna have it with you. So, that's actually a really nice solution. The base of the stand is wide enough that it accommodates the iPad in portrait or landscape mode or even with a lot of cases on them. In this case, we have a back cover on here and that's still works inside the stand perfectly fine. They will also work with the smart attached. That makes it easy to take it and remove it easily and set it up as you might say fit. Another nice touch is that this blue plastic stand has the unsnappable second extension, which will provide a little bit extra angle when you lay the iPad in it. May not seem like a big deal, but when we down on our desk and wrote with the keyboard on our laps, it's like perfect angle for sitting and writing, try it out and you would find that it really make a difference. If stands up a little too much upright, you get a little bit cramp and have to sort of bend down to see it properly. Maybe we're making too bid deal out of a stand with the keyboard, but the ergonomic difference was really helpful for us. With the whole review of this keyboard using the Logitech keyboard and did it without a hitch, it was really comfortable to use. It also comes with a number of iPad specific keyboard commands in here, volume, mute. It's got a gallery mode that opens up the picture gallery, home button, plus directional arrow keys, which are really if you're working inside a word document or pages document. You can go in there and move the cursor around, edit, as opposed to just having the screen. It's not a reinvention of the wheel, it's in fact a Bluetooth keyboard, but if you do have an iPad and you're looking for one, it might be one worth check out and yes it does work with regular computers as well and will even work with the iPhone because the iPhone supports Bluetooth keyboards and you can use all the same IOS commands. If you like the design in this keyboard and you happened to be android user, Logitech does make a separate version of this Android 3.0 tablets. I'm Scott Stein and this is a look at the Logitech Tablet Keyboard for iPad.

Logitech Tablet Keyboard for iPad Review
The good: The Logitech Tablet Keyboard for the iPad has a sturdy feel, iPad-specific control buttons, and its magnetic slipcover doubles as an iPad stand when typing, tilting to multiple angles.
The bad: The full-size keyboard's not as portable as a keyboard case solution. The plastic chassis feels a bit creaky on the edges, and the stand uses a fragile flip-out plastic piece. Some might prefer Apple's keyboard instead.
The bottom line: Priced to compete with Apple's Bluetooth keyboard, the Logitech Tablet Keyboard for iPad is a similarly shaped, well-functioning writing tool with a twist: its case doubles as an iPad stand.
