>> Hi, I'm Donald Bell, senior editor for digital audio in MP3 here at CNET and today we are going to take a first look at the Logitech Free Pulse Bluetooth headphones. These headphones are some of the lightest headphones we've seen yet. They fit right behind your head, over the ears like that; the headband is a wire core headband, which means that it's really pretty impervious to snapping and twisting. The first edition of a Logitech Bluetooth headphone had all plastic headbands, which as you can see here actually snapped after some use. The way they work is that there is a Bluetooth transmitter that just connects over a mini jack plug, a hookup right into your iPod or any audio device for that matter because it's just a mini jack plug. So once you have them powered on they just communicate over Bluetooth, you have a range of about 30 feet before you'll hear some kind of dropouts and hiccups. There are pretty neat features in this, there is a volume rocker on the right ear that lets you turn the volume up or down and also mute the volume temporarily by hitting the little power button. The headphones also come with a handful of accessories; you've got adapters for almost every kind of recent iPod you can think of. We also have a little extender cable for the mini jack output. The Logitech Free Pulse headphones retail at a suggested retail price of a hundred and ten dollars, more than likely right now, we are seeing them at a street price of around ninety dollars. I'm Donald Bell and we just had a first look at the Logitech Free Pulse Bluetooth wireless headphones. ^M00:01:35 [ Music ]

Logitech FreePulse Wireless Headphones Review
The good: The Logitech FreePulse Wireless Headphones are remarkably light, flexible, and resilient. The sound quality is decent overall with an emphasis on bass. The Bluetooth transmitter can be used with any audio source that has a minijack headphone output.
The bad: Troubleshooting possible Bluetooth connection problems can be a hassle compared to the reliability of hardwired headphones. Unlike previous Logitech designs, there are no playback controls on these headphones.
The bottom line: Compared to the range of options out there for Bluetooth MP3 player headphones, the Logitech FreePulse Wireless Headphones offer exceptional design and value.
