>> If your hard drives media collection has gone a bit sour, you might want to give LimeWire a shot to juice up what you've got. Hi, I'm Seth Rosenblatt from CNETdownload.com and today we are taking a first look at LimeWire, a peer to peer program that lets you share well, anything that you have got on your hard drive. Before you get anxious about illegal sharing, the latest versions of LimeWire have been equipped with a copyright filters so if you don't want to see any illegal content, you won't. Let's start by activating a filter, go to filters and configure content filters then click on enable content filters. Now copyright holders who have contacted LimeWire won't have their properties showing up in our searches. LimeWire isn't the fastest way to distribute files but it's not a bad way to discover some really cool legal shares to. It's got a well designed layout with search tabs here on the left. The search results in the center, download controls below, and a built in media player at the bottom. This layout makes using LimeWire a cinch, the search default is set to all types, but you can narrow your search instantly by clicking on programs, audio, images, video or documents. We'll take a load for a free Sudoku game. So click on programs, enter Sudoku and in a matter of seconds voila, it programs and EXC to narrow the search field. But how do we choose which one to download? The number here indicates the number of computers sharing the file, the higher the number, the faster the download, double-click and we get a warning telling us if LimeWire can't find a copyright license for the program. To download or not to download, that is the question. I'll leave it up to you to decide, for CNETdownload.com I'm Seth Rosenblatt and this is been a first look at Limewire. ^M00:01:47 [ Music ]
