>> I'm Nicole Lee, Associate Editor for CNET.com and this is a First Look at the LG VX5500. A pretty basic camera phone available from Verizon Wireless. So as you can see here, it's a very pretty boring design here, typical blocky, rectangular shape. It's a two-toned color with black and grey. On the front here you do get a simple 1-inch diagonal display with color support. It shows photo color ID. It also shows the typical date and time information and it also acts as a self portrait view finder when the camera is activated. Open the phone and you get a very nice 262,000 color, 2-inch display here, very nice for a basic phone like this. The images look really nice and the menu interface looks really easy to use as well. Underneath that you do get the typical navigation array and the keypad is pretty good actually. We really like the way it's raised above the surface of the phone so we could dial really easily, we could text really easily as well. So it's a pretty good keypad. As I mentioned earlier, the VX5500 is a pretty basic phone, it does have a VGA camera, and it has Bluetooth, as well as GPS support for Verizon's navigation services like VZ Navigator support. It also has a wireless web browser, it has voice dialing here, so it's not completely devoid of features, it's just not as advanced as most other phones in Verizon's line up. The LG VX5500 is available for $50 with the two-year service agreement. My name is Nicole Lee. This has been the LG VX5500. ^M00:01:39 [ Music ]
