>> This is probably the most versatile phone in the US market today and I'll tell you why. I'm Nicole Lee and this is the LG Versa from Verizon Wireless and the Versa pretty much stands for versatile because this is one of the very few phones that I've ever heard of anyway that has detachable elements and it comes with an attachable QWERTY keyboard. As far as the phone itself, it has a very cool 3-inch display here. I'm used that you do get the typical buttons. Along the bottom of each home screen there is the messaging key, the phone dialer application, the shortcut to the main menu interface, as well as the phonebook. On the back is a 2.0-megapixel camera with an LED flash. One cool feature about the Versa is that it supports something called animated 3-Dimensional home screens. That means you can flip through up to three different customizable home screens. You can have one home screen for all your favorite applications, you can have one home screen for all your favorite media. You can also have one home screen for all your browser shortcuts. We really like the animation, as well and so it's very attractive and easy to use. As you can imagine the Versa has a lot of features in this small little pocket here. There's a very cool camera as well with the built-in camcorder and it has a full HTML browser with full flash support, which is a very unusual thing for mobile browsers these days. It also has a built-in RSS reader if you are a news junkie. There's also a Visual Voice Mail on the Versa similar to the iPhone, but again Verizon charges you around $3 a month for Visual Voice Mail, which we think is a little bit pricy. It also has VZ Navigator support. So, it's a very full featured phone with the extra functionality of this QWERTY keyboard attachment right here. So, what you do is you remove the battery cover from the Versa and then align the back of the phone with the contact pins on the attachment right here. The keyboard attachment itself is pretty easy to use, very nice to type on. On the front here you do get the little square cutouts for the camera. On the back of the keyboard attachment is a small external OLED display to show incoming caller ID, so it's a very useful attachment right here. The LG Versa comes with the QWERTY keyboard attachment in the box for around $200 with a 2-year service agreement and a $50 mail-in rebate. I'm Nicole Lee this has been the LG Versa from Verizon Wireless. ^M00:02:22 [ Music ]

LG Versa (Verizon Wireless) Review
The good: The LG Versa is an attractive touch-screen handset with an animated user interface, plus it has options for additional modules. The Versa also has a full HTML browser with Flash Lite support, EV-DO, GPS, a 2.0-megapixel camera, and a music player. It comes with a QWERTY keyboard module, which doubles as a case.
The bad: The LG Versa suffers from a poor Web-browsing experience, and the screen can be sometimes unresponsive in certain applications. There is no Wi-Fi, and Visual Voice Mail has a monthly cost.
The bottom line: If you can live with the clunky Web browser, the LG Versa is a very good touch-screen phone with the added versatility of optional modules.
