-Hello everybody. It's Lynn La from CNET, bringing you guys the LG Splendor from US Cellular. If you think you've seen this phone before, the Splendor is actually the US version of the LG Optimus L7. And just like the L7, it is a mid-range Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich handset. It sports a 4.3-inch display and is powered by a 1.7 ampere-hour battery. On the back, there's a 5-megapixel camera and on the front is a 1.3-megapixel camera. It also sports LG's interface Optimus 3.0, which isn't as elegant and simple as Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwich, but there are some cool features like customizable icons. Unlike its international counterpart, however, the Splendor isn't NFC enabled, and while both run on a 1-gigahertz processor, the Splendor operated noticeably faster than the L7 we spent time with. If you're interested, US Cellular is offering the device for about $80 after you send in a mail-in rebate. Again, I'm Lynn and you've been watching the LG Splendor.

The good: U.S. Cellular's LG Splendor is an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich device with a zippy processor, a bright display, and a thin build.
The bad: The Splendor's 3G data speeds are slow, its output speaker is poor, and its camera quality is mediocre.
The bottom line: The LG Splendor doesn't have the fastest network connection, but it's an affordable and snappy handset that's loaded with Android 4.0 and a swift CPU.
