-I'm Nicole Lee, Senior Associate Editor for CNET.com, and this is a first look at the LG Saber for U.S. Cellular. This is a very simple entry-level phone for U.S. Cellular. As you can see, it has a very basic candy bar messaging phone design here. On the front is a very simple 2.2-inch display with 262,000 colours report--very bright and colorful as you can see here. However, the resolution is a little bit low for our taste. Underneath the display, you get the navigation array as well as the compact QWERTY keyboard. You get a dedicated camera key right here. You also the get the spacebar key here in the middle. There are also dedicated punctuation keys as well. On the back, here is the VGA camera lens. As you might expect, the LG Saber is a relatively entry-level phone. The camera, as we say, is only VGA quality. Not the best photo quality we have seen on phones of this caliber. It also does not have a music player. It does have the usual basic stuff. It does have text and multimedia messaging as well as calendar, a to-do list, and bluetooth. The LG Saber is pretty inexpensive, however. It is only $10 with a new 2-year service agreement. I'm Nicole Lee. This has been the first look at the LG Saber.

The bare-bones Toshiba L5200 series offers respectable value for the money with fine picture quality for an edge-lit LED TV.
The T-Mobile Sidekick iD offers all the great messaging capabilities of the Sidekick 3 at half the price, but the rest of the handheld's feature set is very limited--too bare-bones, in our opinion. Nevertheless, young, cash-strapped kids will find the iD

The Samsung Dart is a decent entry-level phone for T-Mobile, but there are better options out there.
