LG Revere Video Transcript

I'm Nicole Lee, Senior Associate Editor for cnet.com and this is a first look at the LG Revere from Verizon Wireless. The Revere is a very basic clamshell phone for Verizon Wireless. As you can see here, it has a very slim and compact front factor. On the front is the usual external display and above that is a 1.3-megapixel camera. We'll put it up and you get a very nice and colorful main display. Underneath that, you do get the usual navigation control as to include the two soft keys, a square toggle as well as the send and end power keys. The keypad was a little flat but there are enough differences between each key so you can easily text and dial by feel. As I said before, the Revere is a very basic clamshell phone. There aren't too many features on here and the menu is enlisted in a very simple and straightforward style. The LG Revere is very affordable. It's only $50 with the new two-year service agreement with Verizon Wireless. If you buy the phone through Verizon Wireless' online store, it's free for a limited time. I'm Nicole Lee and that's has been a first look at the LG Revere.

LG Revere (Verizon Wireless) Review

The good: The LG Revere is a compact and lightweight flip phone with features like a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, mobile e-mail, and the ability to upload pictures to Facebook. Call quality is very good, and the Revere is very affordable.

The bad: The LG Revere doesn't have the best photo quality, and social networking features are rudimentary at best.

The bottom line: The LG Revere is a no-frills entry-level handset for Verizon Wireless customers who just want to make calls and not much else.
