>> Hi, I'm David Katzmaier from CNET here at CES 2009 in the LG booth and I'm standing next to the LG PS80. This is a 50-inch plasma TV. LG also makes a 60-inch version. This is their highest-end plasma that they announced in the show. It's gonna be available in June. We don't how much the price is, but that's kind of standard at CES. Stand out feature on this television is Netflix streaming. This is the first plasma TV with the ability to go out on the Internet and grab Netflix TV shows and movies. There's 12,000 titles right now available from Netflix Watch Instantly. That's not their entire catalogue, but it is a really good selection especially because you don't have to pay for any of these things. They're free if you have a Netflix account. And really there's not set top box required. So you can actually just use the TV itself. There's also YouTube capability, you can go out to YouTube and stream their videos as well as take advantage of a bunch of Yahoo Widgets, which are these little Internet applications that have weather, news, that sort of thing. On the picture quality front this TV has THX Display Certification, which means that the color should be more accurate than a lot of the other plasmas out there. Last year's model were any indication. They also improved the calibration options over last year which were very extensive. So if you have any end to go and clear out of the picture, there's a lot of ways to do that on this television. That's a quick look at the LG PS80 Series and I'm David Katzmaier. ^M00:01:17 [ Music ]
