>> I'm Nicole Lee, Associate Editor for CNET.com and this is the LG Prada. A phone made in collaboration with LG and Prada, which is, you know, one of the most famous fashion houses in the world. As you can see it is a very fashionable, sleek phone. It has a full three inch diagonal touch screen display. There is no keypad so all of your navigation and dialing has to be done through the touch screen. Dialing is actually pretty easy. We were actually a little bit hesitant to dial and text with the phone. It is surprisingly responsive and sensitive to touch. We were a little disappointed that there was no virtual QWERTY keyboard to text with but the virtual alpha numeric keypad works just like a regular phone. You can use the typical keys here for T9 messaging as you would with a regular phone. One of our most favorite uses of the touch screen is this wonderful fish theme that you can direct the fish using the touch of your finger. Features include the typical text and multimedia messaging, email support, Bluetooth, there's also a 2 megapixel camera and mp3 player as well as a video player. One of the down sides to the phone is that its microSD is located behind the battery. So that means you have to take off the cover, take off the battery before you can get to the microSD card. The LG Prada even comes in a very fashionable looking box here as you can see. It also comes with a very nice hard leather case with the Prada logo emblazoned on the front. So even though the touch screen interface has a little bit of a learning curve we think it's entirely possible to get comfortable using the phone as is. And it does cost over 800 dollars in the US, so we're not entirely sure it's worth it. However, if you want a beautiful phone that is simply one of the most attractive handsets we've seen so far, this may be worth it for you. The good: The LG Prada cell phone has a sophisticated and stylish design that is sure to turn heads. Its 3-inch display is stunning, and the touch screen interface is surprisingly usable. It also has a 2.0-megapixel camera, a music player, and a document viewer.
The bad: The LG Prada does not have 3G support, which is unfortunate for such an expensive phone. While the touch screen interface isn't too difficult to use, it still requires a little bit of a learning curve. A few of the phone's external buttons are a little hard to press, and the microSD card slot is inconveniently located behind the battery.
The bottom line: While the LG Prada is a gorgeous phone with a stunning touch screen display, its simple feature set may not justify its hefty price tag. That said, if you want one of the most fashionable phones available, the LG Prada is definitely the phone to get.
