The LG PA6500 is a good value plasma Video Transcript
-Hi. I'm Todd Pendlebury from CNET.com. And today I'm looking at the LG PA6500 Plasma Television. So, this television has any indication when it comes to making television. LG's biggest strength is in making LCD and plasma TV is a way of expanding its line-up. The PA6500 is LG's first TV in the line to include a full 1080p resolution but it doesn't have any smart TV or 3D functionality. Design wise, is fairly plain with a black bezel and a TruSlim design. The remote control is better than most budget model [unk]. One of the most noticeable things about this TV is the amount of image retention it has or a negative of the last image can stick on the screen for a few seconds. It's not a lasting problem but is something its competitors don't have. Image quality is okay but nothing special with fairly light blacks and extraordinary colors. At least shadow detail is good with none of the crushing that some other TVs have which may look exciting but makes the picture worst. The PA6500 isn't a bad TV but for the price, I'd be looking at either a Samsung E450 or a Panasonic U50 instead. So this has been Todd Pendlebury from CNET with a review of the LG PA6500.

LG 60PA6500 Review
The good: The LG PA6500 is an inexpensive plasma with natural-looking colors and solid bright-room quality. Image processing is a highlight, with correct 24p response mating well with the full 1080p resolution. This LG has a living-room-friendly appearance and it's easy to use as well.
The bad: The LG evinced some of the lightest, least realistic black levels in its class. Colors lack some of the saturation found in the TV's peers, and it showed more temporary image retention. The LG suffers from solarization, which manifests as distinct bands in gradated colors.
The bottom line: The LG PA6500 is a decent plasma television if you'll have nothing less than 1080p for cheap, but it's not the best value at this level.
