LG Optimus Slider (Virgin Mobile) Video Transcript

-I'm Nicole Lee, senior associate editor for cnet.com, and this is a First Look at the LG Optimus Slider. The LG Optimus Slider is very similar to the other Optimus phones, but it does have a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It has a very nice 3.2-inch colored display here. It ships with android 2.3 Gingerbread. The user interface is fairly vanilla android. You will see a complicated manufacturer skin here. Underneath the display, you do get the usual android shortcut keys for the menu, home, back, and search functions. On the back is a 3.2-megapixel cameral. The phone shows with the usual WiFi, GPS, and bluetooth features. The LG Optimus slider retails for around $200, but that is without a contract. I'm Nicole Lee. This has been the First Look at the LG Optimus slider for Virgin Mobile.

LG Optimus Slider (Virgin Mobile) Review

The good: The LG Optimus Slider has a spacious keyboard, little to no bloatware, and a responsive touch screen.

The bad: The LG Optimus Slider is bulky, even as a slider phone. Camera quality is poor.

The bottom line: If you like a real keyboard on a no-contract, reasonably priced handset, the LG Optimus Slider is a good contender. Just remember its low specs and boxy build.
