LG Optimus Elite Video Transcript

I -- Kent German and senior managing editor at CNET and an attack about the LG Optimus beliefs. This is a new phone for sprint -- a promising yourself you've seen a million -- phones and well you have actually that's not quite. True it's more about a dozen years ago. There have been quite a few of these phones of all sizes all shapes our capacities and features that. On the first of the LG Optimus one which came out for sprint is the LG optimists -- quite a while ago. But now we have the optimists -- Now the elite in the name of little interest in because there's really not a whole lot of the elite about it. Doesn't have the art 3-D Max we saw recently it has -- three -- three graphics. Not like at other -- don't use -- mobile congress has a pretty average Android phone and gingerbread and it runs on three G it has 800 megahertz processor. What's more about this phone is about functionality. And it is about its eco friendly design. Other phones made of recycled plastic is having harmful and of the box is made recycled material as well so -- all out pretty basic defined very very very simple actually really straight lines just a couple curse here and there. Okay display not the greatest resolution does have sixteen million colors has five home pages fare customization needs him popping icons -- -- what -- you like. And -- down the vitamin C touch controls normal Android touch controls there's homes there's -- there's -- image search. Up in the top there's a three point -- and at that Jack there's our control. Over here there's a -- marker and on the bottom there's the micro USB ports you separate chargers thinking cable. On the back -- -- A flash violence refinement with the camera. And a self portrait Merriam it and you know a lot these days assessments to -- to -- those vanity shots taken back up -- from the micro SD slot. The domestic battery too which is -- Egyptian battery cover off. The battery covers plastic. Which is in the -- but I'd like the textured material. Over on the phone weighs little over four ounces so it does have a pretty solid feel -- the hand as -- the touch screen -- you'll have a virtual dial pad and a virtual keyboard. Virtual keyboard to its -- gingerbread enhancements -- opera swipe as well so if you're into that you can use it. Features inside pretty standard try to make this -- actually pretty nice it has quite a few editing options than it does have a decent photo quality. I'd does have Google wallet which is a fun and it expects session on a discount offers to -- -- to community use it. If you can -- -- except school on of course the UW super payment so hasn't it sees few -- -- -- -- attack this wealth of you know for movie posters -- business cards or anything like that the phone does have visual voicemail so if you get a voicemail and it does transcribed into text. Works pretty well it's not real stickler for punctuation and serve program or -- it wouldn't get too. I'm outraged about it. But it is nice for drivers that you can just check your -- see who called what they say because of course you're -- have things you shouldn't be answering your phone in the car. Other features of the standard Google applications and messaging and now -- -- Wi-Fi Bluetooth -- pretty mid range features that except for Google wallet. -- solid functional concentrating on communication. We'll play here and then of course is a music player. Does have some sprint apps fortunately you can remove a lot of them he can't remove the sprint ID app. Which is in knowing if I never fan of that -- feels like -- where it makes lets you customize your phone so. -- ignored cam pricing is 29 dollars with a two year contract and a mail in rebate. By the phone also comes with Virgin Mobile we're gonna pay a bit more of course that without a contract -- I am forty. As -- Francisco pretty low under the -- -- a great phones go a little more mid range by is a simple every device -- well just don't expect much from. I'm Kent German institute LG Optimus -- -- sports.

LG Optimus Elite - titan silver (Sprint) Review

The good: The LG Optimus Elite succeeds at the basic while throwing in a few extras like Google Wallet and Visual Voicemail. Camera quality is quite good.

The bad: The Optimus Elite has a small, low-resolution display and a plastic build. There was some distortion in call quality.

The bottom line: The LG Optimus Elite packs a couple of interesting extras, but at its core it's no more than an average Android phone with a less than elite design.
