>> Hi, I'm Ken Sherman, senior editor here at cnet.com. Today we're going to take a first look at the LG LSP 200 portable stereo speakers. These are speakers you can hook up with a cell phone, or another device like an MP3 player or a PDP. In the closed position you can see that they almost look like a cell phone. Maybe a flip-phone with no internal screen, or really no external markings. But has about the same dimensions, feels about the same in the hand. Doesn't really hide what's inside. Just open them up like that. Again, sort of like a flip-phone mechanism. You can see the speakers here. These are pretty close together, but otherwise a pretty simple design. Little rubber pads here on the bottom. That means you can place the speaker just on the table. A few things on the outside. You have an "on" button. Right here. Switch that on. See the small green light, tells you it's on. Also, this does have a volume wheel, which is great because a lot of portable speakers I've seen for cell phones don't have that. And then here on the side we just have the ports for the charger and the wire for connecting to your phone. And another difference from some of the Sony Ericson speakers that we've seen, this does have an internal battery, so it doesn't -- it's not going to run off your phone. However, if you have an LG phone most of the LG chargers fit this, so you don't have to carry anything extra. So I have LG X 83 50 here. Plug it into the speakers, and see how that's connected. So you can stretch them apart. But also it does come with a 3.5 millimeter plug. So I can hook that up to this creative. Plug it in there. And plug it in the speakers. And we're ready to go. So I'll just let you hear the sounds. So this sounds pretty good. And it gets a little garbley at real higher levels. But it's not too bad. Definitely great for putting your tunes out there. I'm Ken Sherman, and this is the LG LSP 200 portable stereo speakers. ^M00:01:39 [ Music ]
