LG Marquee (Sprint) Video Transcript

Hi, I'm Bridget Carey with CNET TV and we are here at the Pepcom Holiday Spectacular here in New York with a First Look at the LG Marquee sold exclusively at Sprint. And what makes it unique is that it has a 4-inch NOVA screen and what that's supposed to do is take up less battery life and be a little brighter. Now it feels pretty light in the hands and it's also described as your entry-level smartphone. It's about $100. That's after a $50 rebate into your contract, but you're not really losing on it that much. You still have 2 cameras, one in the front 2 megapixels for video-chatting, 5 megapixels at the back with a flash. It's 3G, not 4G but it has the other kind of flash too. It has Adobe Flash. It comes loaded with Android Gingerbread. It has a 1-gigahertz processor. It's available for pre-sale starting on September 20th. This is the first time Sprint is doing a pre-sale. But you could pick it up in stores October 2nd. For CNET TV, I'm Bridget Carey with your First Look at the LG Marquee.

LG Marquee (Sprint) Review

The good: The LG Marquee has a svelte and ultralight design that complements its stunning Nova display. It ships with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and has a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi. Call quality is fantastic.

The bad: We have mixed feelings about the LG Marquee's oddball Sprint ID customization feature, and the Marquee is not the phone for you if you want 4G.

The bottom line: With its fashionable good looks and affordable price, the LG Marquee is one of our top choices among Android phones for Sprint if you don't need 4G.
