>> Hi this is Kent German, senior editor here at CNET.com. Today we are going to talk about this LG LX 150; this is a new phone for Sprint service. What we have here is a very basic phone, LG makes a lot of these for Sprint, this is no exception. Really just made for making calls, receiving calls, messaging and that's just about it. It has a very simple design; this is always the case with these kinds of phones. Basic flip phone design, did like the blue color, it's a nice change from black or silver which simple phones usually come in those colors, but did think it was pretty attractive. Also like the rounded edges here on the bottom. It does have an external display, always a plus on these kinds of phones, it shows the date, time, battery life everything you need. It is Mono chrome, but a plus side of the Mono chrome is you can see it even when the backlighting is off. Open up the phone, inside you'll find a nice color display, pretty bright and vivid, a little more than what we have seen on phones of this caliber. I'm moving down to the navigation controls, pretty standard, have a circular toggle with an okay button in the center; toggle can be set as a shortcut to various functions. [inaudible] we usually don't see this, this is the key dedicated for text messaging, option you can use one of the toggle directions for text messaging, but this actually says text so kind of a nice touch. Phone did have a solid construction here in the hinge, did find the exterior to feel a little plastic though, a little cheap but this is a very inexpensive phone, so it is sort of what you get. Here on this side you have a volume rocker and a key for voice dialing. Here on this side you do have a dedicated headset jack and a dedicated charger port here on the bottom. One thing that's great about this phone too is even though it is a basic phone, it does have Bluetooth, more basic phones are having Bluetooth even though they don't have cameras or music players, they still offer that wireless functionality which is great. I'm Kent German and this is the LG LX 150. ^M00:01:38 [ Music ]
