LG Genesis (U.S Cellular) Video Transcript
I'm Nicole Lee, Senior Associate Editor for CNET.com and this is a first look at the LG Genesis for U.S. Cellular. The Genesis is essentially the smartphone version or the growing Android version of the LG enV Series of phones. It has the same dual-screen flip design as the LG enV Series of phones, but the Genesis is an Android smartphone, instead. On the front here is a pretty roomy and generously sized touchscreen display. Underneath that, you do get the usual Android hot sensor keys. On the back, is a 5-megapixel camera and LED flash. The phone opens up to reveal another touchscreen display. It's a little bit smaller but it's still pretty colorful and you can use it just like you will on the front surface. When you open it, you will also reveal a full five row of QWERTY keyboard. It's very roomy and very generously sized. It even has physical keys for the Android controls. On the other side of the keyboard, there's also a dedicated navigation control if you don't want to use the touchscreen. Our only complaint is that when it's open like this, it's a little difficult to access the bottom row of the touchscreen. The LG Genesis ships with Android 2.2 Froyo. The interface is pretty clean and you get up to five customizable home screens. The features include the [unk] mentioned 5-megapixel camera and camcorder. Aside from the default applications, LG also added its own Twitter and Facebook app. The LG Genesis also is capable of having portable [unk]and mobile hot-spot. The LG Genesis is around $149.99 with the new two-year service agreement with U.S. Cellular. I'm Nicole Lee and this has been the first look at the LG Genesis.

LG Genesis US760 (U.S. Cellular) Review
The good: The LG Genesis has dual touch-screen displays, a generously sized QWERTY keyboard, a 5-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, and mobile hot-spot support.
The bad: The LG Genesis is bulky and heavy, and the bottom part of the internal display is not easily accessible.
The bottom line: If you can live with its size, the LG Genesis is a great midrange Android phone for U.S. Cellular customers who want a full physical keyboard.
