>> I'm Nicole Lee, Associate editor for CNET.com and this is the brand new LG enV2 from Verizon Wireless. This is the sequel to the original LG enV that came out around two years ago. As you can see, it's a much slimmer, sleeker look. On the front here you get a very bright, but pretty tiny external display. Underneath the display is a very roomy, very streamline keypad. And on the back is a 2-megapixel camera. Open the phone and you do get a full QWERTY keyboard here. It is a messaging phone. And you also get a very wide and colorful 262,000 color internal display. As far as features go, the features are similar to the original enV. You do get V Cast Music, V Cast Video support. There's also a music player as EV-DO support, so you do get a very fast Web browsing experience. There's Web email. There's also a location-based feature, the Verizon's VZ Navigator, which is a location-based navigation service. So it's a very ful-lfeatured phone, very slim and sexy package here with a full QWERTY keyboard as well. It will be available from Verizon Wireless in early May 2008 for $129.99. LG enV(2) - black (Verizon Wireless) Review
The good: The LG enV(2) is a slim and attractive handset, with a roomy keypad, bright dual displays, a good multimedia feature set, a full QWERTY keyboard, plus great call quality.
The bad: The LG enV(2) does not offer newer features from the first enV. Also, photo quality was mediocre, and the external display can be a bit too small. Streaming video quality could also be a lot better.
The bottom line: The LG enV(2) is not much more than a slimmed down version of the enV, but it still serves as an excellent high-end messaging phone.
