LG Cosmos Touch (Verizon Wireless) Video Transcript
-I'm Nicole Lee, senior associate editor for cnet.com, and this is a First Look at the LG Cosmos Touch for Verizon Wireless. It is a pretty simple entry-level messaging phone. On the front, you do get a 2.8-inch touch screen display. It is a resistive touch screen. It's not quite as responsive and intuitive as a capacitive screen, but it's still pretty easy to move around. It just may take a little longer than usual. At the bottom row of the home screen here, you get shortcuts to the messaging menu, the phone dialer, the contacts list as well as the main menu. The home screen is customizable. You can use the little shortcut bin to drag and drop shortcuts to the home screen. On the back is a very simple 1.3-megapixel camera. Slide the phone open and you'll reveal a full QWERTY keyboard. The keyboard is quite roomy even for its small size and the keys are all raised above the surface in a nice domed effect for easy texting. There's also a dedicated button on the keyboard here that leads to the favorites menu on the phone. As far as features go, you do get the usual text and multimedia messaging of course. You also get mobile e-mail and mobile IM. Other features include GPS with VZ navigator, bluetooth, and a music player. Overall, we like the phone for its messaging features, but we did wish the touch screen was a little bit more useful and that the features were a little bit more upgraded. The LG Cosmos Touch is available for around $80 with a new 2-year service agreement with Verizon Wireless. I'm Nicole Lee. This has been a First Look at the LG Cosmos Touch.

LG Cosmos Touch (Verizon Wireless) Review
The good: The LG Cosmos Touch has a compact and stylish design. The keyboard is very roomy and easy to use.
The bad: The LG Cosmos Touch's touch screen is not very responsive. Features are the same as its predecessors'.
The bottom line: The LG Cosmos Touch is an average messaging phone without a lot of multimedia features, which we don't think is worth its retail price tag.
