>> Hi, I'm Natalie Del Conte with CNET TV, here in the LG booth about to look at the LG PG60 HD TV. This baby is TXH display certified, meaning it's made to let you watch movies the way that you watch them in the theaters. It has a hundred thousand hours of play before it dims brightness, which is about thirty years LG says. It also has four HDMI ports, and a USB port as well, and built in speakers around the peripheral. So far we don't have pricing on this yet, but we know it will be available in early 2008, or at least the first half of 2008. [ background music ] So that was your first look at the LG PG60. I'm Natalie Del Conte with CNET TV, at CES 2008. ^M00:00:44 [ music ]

LG 50PG60 Review
The good: Highly accurate primary colors in THX mode; solid video processing; superb feature set with numerous picture controls; fine connectivity with four HDMI and one PC input; beautiful external design.
The bad: Expensive; less accurate color decoding and grayscale in THX mode; produces lighter blacks than the best plasmas; some false contouring.
The bottom line: Although its THX mode isn't as accurate as we'd like to see, the LG 50PG60 50-inch plasma TV still delivers a good picture.
