"Hoot" trailer

Three middle-schoolers take on greedy land developers, corrupt politicians, and clueless cops in this mystery adventure based on Carl Hiaasen's Newbery Honor-winning book. Produced by Jimmy Buffett, Frank Marshall (Seabiscuit, Signs) and Walden Media (The Chronicles of Narnia, Holes), "Hoot" revolves around a Montana boy who moves to Florida and unearths a disturbing threat to a local population of endangered owls. Determined to protect his new environment, the boy and his friends fight to prevent the adults from making a big mistake. Wil Shriner wrote the screenplay and directed the film, which stars Luke Wilson, Logan Lerman, Brie Larson, and Cody Linley. The movie also features original music from producer Jimmy Buffett.

It was recorded by a band unafraid to embrace the far poles of arts and entertainment. BSP have toured with and been praised by David Bowie, The Flaming Lips, Lou Reed, Radiohead and Jarvis Cocker. But they?ve also been invited to play in celebration of the life and times of Sir John Betjeman, the late UK Poet Laureate, born in 1906. And they?ve played shows with The Copper Family, a clan of Sussex folk singers who?ve been going for two hundred years.
