>> Well here's Audi's R8, the first super car that's really available to the public making its US Debut. Now they're taking orders now delivery happens mid 07. Let's check it out. 420 horsepower mid engine V8 is right here. We've seen that engine before and loved it in other Audis. There's a rumor they may give this thing a V12 diesel with 500 horse and God knows how much tork, just a rumor but that would be wild. As you may know, Audi now owns Lamborghini so this whole engine bay is kind of Lamborghiniesk in its placement visibility, there's even a little light in the engine compartment to show off the motor. Inside the vehicle we find a lot of interesting touches. First of all you've got Audi's already excellent MMI for interface, for handling all the telemetric. It's an LCD plus what we think is one of the better knob and control layouts. There's a banging [inaudible] audio system in there 465 watts just slightly louder than that engine. You can also get magnetic ride control on this vehicle which gives you electric magnetically controlled viscosity on the shocks. So, we can absolutely stiffen or soften any given corner according to road conditions. They also say it carries a set of golf clubs. That's a pretty good trick for an exotic. Well, small golf clubs I guess if you're taking your kid golfing that'll work just fine. That's not really my main concern on this vehicle. Again the orders are being taken now deliveries happen mid 07. It's the Audi R8 a new standard barer for them. ^M00:01:27 [ Music ]
