-I'm Nicole Lee, senior associate editor for cnet.com and this is a first look at the Kyocera Milano. The Milano is an entry level smartphone for Sprint, is a very compact slider smartphone form factor. On the front here is a small 3-inch QVGA display. It's a little bit dull and dreary for our taste. It does shoot android 2.3 Gingerbread, however. On the back is a 3-megapixel camera. You can turn this pone sideways to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard. Even though the keyboard is quite compact as you can see here, the keys are still quite large and raised above the surface for easy texting and typing. The Kyocera Milano as we said is an entry level smartphone, so it doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles. It does have an 800 megahertz Qualcomm processor and EV-DO Rev 0. It also has sprints ID customization feature that lets you customize the home screen with variety of widgets and applications. Other features include Bluetooth GPS and Wi-Fi. It also mobile hotspot capability for up to 5 Wi-Fi enabled devices. Even though the Kyocera Milano doesn't have the greatest multimedia features and the display is little bit lacking, we do think its 30-dollar price point is pretty affordable. Kyocera Milano - black (Sprint) Review
The good: The Kyocera Milano has a great physical keyboard, and ships with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and mobile hot-spot support.
The bad: The Kyocera Milano is hampered by a small and lackluster display, and it doesn't take great photos.
The bottom line: The Kyocera Milano is certainly an affordable entry-level Android phone, but Sprint customers have better options available to them.
