>> Hi. I'm Kent German, senior editor here at CNET.com. Today we're gonna take a First Look at the Kyocera JAX. It's also called the S1300, and it is a phone for Virgin Mobile, just a simple candy bar, really about making calls, not a lot of features. You'll find a display, pretty low resolution. It is color, but graphics and colors aren't gonna look particularly great. This isn't a display that's really eye-popping in any sense. Navigation controls, some of these keys were just a little bit cramped, especially these keys here on either side. Keypad buttons are fine. They are raised above the surface of the phone. Texting rapidly or texting long messages felt a little uncomfortable after a while, but not a huge deal. So overall, a very basic phone, simple features, decent sound quality, though not spectacular, but for Virgin Mobile. I'm Kent German. This is the Kyocera JAX S1300. ^M00:00:49 [ Music ]
