>> Hey, I'm Tom Merritt at CES 2010, taking a look at the Kodak Play Sport, this is a, uh, water camera, it's an HD handheld camera built for one handed operation, as you can see by the buttons right here. That gives you 1080P video, at 30 frames per second, or 720P, you have 60 frames per second, you can also do 30 or VGA with the 720P setting as well. And it's waterproof; it's meant for taking to the pool, to the beach, not meant for scuba diving, it's only waterproof up to three meters. But, you can, uh, start it recording here, and, uh, drop it in the water, this is always fun to do with these sorts of waterproof things, and let it kept recording, go ahead and, uh, pull it out, try not to get my suit jacket wet, there it is, it's still recording. You can see that it still works. It's got a HTMI out on the side here, so that you can, uh, plug it into your television, your high def television and actually show your HD videos there. Also it has a built in blue filter, so if you are shooting underwater and things are a little extra blue , you can pull that haze filter up and actually make the picture look a little better. It's got an SD card slot here, so you can add most of the storage, it's got a little bit of storage on board, but you're probably going to want to have a card there. And, uh, that's it actually, it's a nice rugged waterproof HD camcorder from Kodak called the Play Sport. At CES 2010, I'm Tom Merritt. ^M00:01:22
The Kodak Playsport is an excellent minicamcorder that can take some rough treatment and capture solid HD video.
The rugged Kodak PlaySport Zx5 is a very good minicamcorder, but falls just shy of improving on last year's model, despite being more durable.
The Google and Motorola deal is likely to get a green light, petitions for "ethical" iPhones are delivered to Apple stores, and Kodak ends an era by phasing out cameras, video recorders, and digital photo frames.
The Kodak Slice is a Kodak's latest touch-screen digital camera with Internet connectivity.
It's a mini digital camcorder that records to flash and can shoot in HD.
The Kodak Playfull minicamcorder is a pocketful of video fun, but might be just too "mini" for some.
Kodak's Wi-Fi-capable EasyShare One is a below-average camera with superior photo-sharing skills.
A camera with some appeal for budding photo enthusiasts on a budget.
Give the Kodak EasyShare V1003 camera a pass, unless you care more about the color of your 10-megapixel camera than the photos it captures.
Fast operation, great macro and burst modes, and excellent battery life distinguish this 5-megapixel snapshot camera from the crowd.
