Hey, I'm Justin Yu, associate editor for CNET.com and this is your First Look at the Kodak ESP C310 All-In-One Printer. Now, $100 seems to be the sweet spot for multifunction printers these days, but this combination printer, scanner, and copy machine falls well below the mark we would expect in this range. We're underwhelmed by its cheap build quality most of all. The compact footprint means it will fit almost anywhere but the light plastic exterior is flimsy and actually reminds us of a playschool toy. The top of the printer has a small LCD that walks you through the installation process and wireless setup, but we still prefer a competing printer by Canon, that's the Pixma MX410 because with that one, you get an automatic document feeder on top, for the same price as the Kodak, which makes it much easier to print and scan multiple photos at once. Not that you'd want to do that on this Kodak anyway since the C310 only has a dual-ink cartridge bay. If you're printing a lot of photos, you should at least be using a five-ink bay printer. That will give you the best quality and price. So, overall, we recommend staying away from this printer, the Kodak C310. You can stretch your dollar much further with other all-in-one printers at the same price that we review on CNET.com, that's including the Canon Pixma MX410, but that's gonna do it for me, I'm Justin Yu, this is the Kodak ESP C310 All-In-One Printer, see you online.
The Lexmark Interpret S405 is a capable multifunction printer with respectable output speed and quality, but it's overshadowed by competing printers that offer more features for less.
The Lexmark x5470 offers loads of features and respectable print speeds at a low price, but its print quality leaves a lot to be desired. You can find a similarly priced all-in-one that offers better print quality.
Lexmark's latest all-purpose office machine introduces a new set of inks with a separate print head that outputs higher-quality photos than the previous model, but competing devices give you convenient features like cloud printing and a larger touch-screen display for the same price.
The Lexmark Impact S305's low price tag, simple setup, and straightforward features are sure to draw in budget customers with intermittent printing needs. With extra features like wireless printing and a media card reader, the Impact earns a solid recommendation.
Aside from a few design hang-ups and a slower than average output speed, the Lexmark X7675 Professional all-in-one printer is a cut above other multifunctional printers. Its excellent quality prints, easy to setup wireless connectivity, and generous five-year warranty catapult it to the top of our list of favorites.
The Lexmark Platinum Pro905 is a fully capable all-in-one business device, but its touch screen might throw a wrench in your workflow. The Smart Solutions widgets add virtual customization to the control panel, but we wish Lexmark had retained a few hard buttons as well. As the top dog in the Lexmark printer family, the Platinum Pro 905 does the job, but the HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless does it cheaper.
The Kodak ESP 2170 All-in-One is an affordable, multifunction printer that gets average results.
The Lexmark T640 is a solid laser printer with convenient extras, security, and expandability features ideal for small-office workgroups.
Lexmark unveiled a new line of laser printers this week and cut prices on several other models. The efforts are designed to boost small and midsize business appeal, as well as challenge Hewlett-Packard in the printer market.

Kodak ESP C310 All-in-One Printer Review
The good: The Kodak ESP C310 offers average speeds and easy Wi-Fi installation, but there's little else to redeem this overpriced machine.
The bad: The plastic exterior feels cheap and the quality is underwhelming for a printer with a $100 price tag.
The bottom line: Stay away from the Kodak ESP C310 if you're shopping for a new all-in-one printer. Competing $100 models like the Canon MX410 or the Lexmark Impact S305 offer similar features in a tighter package.
