Kia Niro Concept Video
Kia Niro Concept Video Transcript
It looks like something that fell out of a video game, but in fact, it's the Kia Nero, no relation to Robert Duh. Clamshell doors will never leave the show floor, and Kia describes the overall design as mischievous. But inside, a very wide ratio center screen and some beefy-looking slap toggles below it. It looked interesting. The front seats are all a part of one what appears to be molded piece, kind of like the ones at the DMV. Powering this duke killer is an envisioned 1.6-liter turbo 4 out to a DCT and then to the front wheels while the rears get spun by their own electric motor. That's actually less fanciful than it sounds as all-wheel drive designers are getting hit to the idea of a local electric power plant on one end, instead of running a second driveshaft of complicated ancillary gearboxes. This is one concept that may show future engineering and not just styling.
